Developed by Ubuntoo, the platform brings together curated knowledge, project evidence and practical solutions in one accessible online environment.

Across food systems, valuable knowledge is often scattered across research papers, reports, policy documents and individual organisations, making it difficult for practitioners and other stakeholders to find and apply relevant information. The FCI4Africa Knowledge Hub was developed to help bridge this gap by creating a single space where knowledge can be collected, curated and shared. The Hub offers a growing library of practical resources, best practices and relevant knowledge, complemented by dedicated digital spaces that enable users to collaborate and exchange expertise. Its content will continue to evolve as new knowledge and lessons emerge from FCI4Africa and the wider food systems landscape. This reflects the project’s broader approach to facilitating practical knowledge transfer and connecting professionals and expert organisations for knowledge exchange.

A key feature of the platform is its AI-powered Q&A assistant. Users can ask questions in their own words, while the tool draws on the Hub’s curated content and solutions database to provide relevant and accessible answers. By integrating Large Language Models with carefully curated knowledge, the Hub aims to make useful information easier to navigate and apply.

Der WISSENSZENTRUM also supports the development of a wider network connecting professionals and expert organisations across Africa and Europe, helping knowledge and experience move between regions and communities. Through this network, FCI4Africa aims to strengthen collaboration and facilitate the exchange of practical knowledge on fair, healthy and environmentally sustainable food systems.

Der WISSENSZENTRUM forms part of FCI4Africa’s broader work to support fair, just and sustainable food systems and trade, alongside research and innovation addressing non-tariff measures, digitalisation, traceability, food quality and safety, and knowledge sharing.
