FCI4Africa joined Synergy Days 2025 in Rotterdam to connect with Europe’s agri-food digital ecosystem. From our dynamic pitch and hands-on workshop to signing a Letter of Intent with AfroGrow, the project highlighted innovation, collaboration, and pathways toward fair, resilient, and climate-smart food systems in Africa.
In its first year, FCI4Africa has built synergies with European and African initiatives, fostering knowledge sharing, innovation, and sustainable trade. By partnering with FS4Africa, INCiTiS-FOOD, modernAKIS, and STREAMING, the project is enhancing food safety, urban food security, knowledge transfer, and market innovation, laying the foundation for healthier, fairer, and more resilient African food systems.
The FCI4Africa Knowledge Platform is an upcoming digital hub designed to bring together evidence, expertise, and best practices for climate-smart, fair, and sustainable food systems. Featuring AI-enabled search and curated resources, it will provide researchers, innovators, policymakers, and businesses with timely insights and project-generated knowledge to support informed decision-making and collaboration across Africa and Europe.
